Are you totally confused about exercise? There are so many choices and opinions thrown at you it’s hard to know what works. And, if you’re like me, you want to get the most benefit for the least amount of work possible! So let’s take a look at what makes the best fat burning exercise.
In Tom Venuto’s “Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle” he says its better to burn the fat rather than starve the fat. In other words exercising to get rid of fat is better than dieting to get rid of fat. Of course we also know that dieting and exercising combined will give us the best overall results.
But what kind of exercise should you be doing?
You need to be doing cardio (aerobic) exercise if you want to lose fat. This means an aerobic exercise that goes uninterrupted for a certain length of time.
Many diet plans will tell you to add more activity to your daily routine. And, of course, adding movement is always a good thing. But to really lose fat you want to make sure you are participating in a 30 to 60 minute session at a level that will keep you in your maximum fat burning zone 5 to 7 days a week.
Even though some plans recommend low intensity workouts, overall you won’t find that you burn enough calories to lose fat. Higher intensity workouts have a more lasting effect on your metabolism. By working out at a level you can sustain, based on your target heart rate you’ll gain the maximum benefits and fat loss. You may also want to consider alternating with interval training where you add short bursts of high intensity exertion followed by lower intensity levels.
Just be careful that you don’t try something that is so difficult to maintain that you can’t stick with it. It is good to vary your workouts so you don’t get burnt out doing the same thing every day but you want a program that you’ll be willing to stay with to reach your goals.
You didn’t think you were going to get off with just a little cardio everyday, did you? Strength training works in conjunction with your diet and aerobic exercise efforts to offer the maximum fat loss benefits. By increasing your lean body mass through strength training your body will be able to burn more calories with less work.
So, in the end, the best fat burning exercise is a combination of aerobic exercise and strength training. The two forms of exercise together offer the quickest results and when you add a sensible eating plan you’ll achieve your weight loss goals even faster.
The approach you’re using to lose body fat may not only be ineffective, it might be destroying your metabolism and even making you even fatter!
There’s a better, easier and and more natural way to burn fat faster — Not by a few percent, not by 50%, not even by 100%, but by up to 300% or more!
