Weight Loss Motivation — Are You Diet Ready?

bodymasteryI’m going to go way out on a limb here and guess that this isn’t your first time looking for a way to lose weight.  Before you can ever be successful you need to take a look at your weight loss motivation and ask yourself, “am I diet ready?”

Take a look around your home (I’m not trying to be mean here — I have all this stuff too!) and you’ll probably find all these relics of diets past:  that dusty food scale pushed to the back of the top cabinet; those specially designated measuring cups used to measure everything that goes into your mouth; cookbooks on every kind of low fat, low carb, mediterranean, south beach diet on the market; funky pieces of exercise equipment now either banished to the garage or magically transformed into a high tech clothes rack!

It’s enough to make your groan at the money you’ve spent and the times you’ve failed.  And what’s worse it serves as a constant reminder of those failures and snowballs into powerfully negative self-talk which leads to vegging out in front of the tube with yet another bag of cookies!

It’s time to F-O-R-G-I-V-E yourself!  If you’ve failed in the past then you just weren’t ready to make the changes you know you need to make to succeed. How will you know if now’s the right time — if now you’re trully ready to make those changes?

Ask yourself this question, “am I willing to change the story about myself that I’ve believed all my life up until now?”  Are you willing to finally create a new story for your life?  No excuses, just yes or no?

It all starts with just ONE action to begin changing.  Make the commitment because you care about yourself.  Find something about your body that you love right now as is.  Anything, just one little thing.

You need to realize that weight loss comes first from the inside. Isolate the thoughts that are causing you to be overweight and replace them with new, empowering slim thoughts.

Then you’ll be able to naturally and effortlessly make the right choices that your “slim” person inside wants to make and will result in getting the slim, fit body you’ve always wanted!

Weight loss motivation starts in your head first and your diet and exercise next.  You can put a stop to the vicious cycle you’ve been on with your weight loss goals. Stop contributing to the growing pile of “failures” you see everywhere and get it right once and for all!

Even Oprah has acknowledged this — you must be aware of her weight “journey” unless you’ve been on another planet!  She said”  falling off the wagon isn’t a weight issue; it’s a love issue.”

Fix your relationship with your body forever.  Your weight loss motivation needs to start with accepting responsibility for your body and choosing permanent change.  Getting rid of the negative self-talk and learning how to have a healthy relationship with food will set you on the path to success.
