Best Weight Loss Methods
Hello and welcome to BestWeightLossMethods.com
Since you’ve found your way to this site I’m going to take a guess that this isn’t your first time looking for the best weight loss methods.
You’re probably a lot like me. I’m sure I’ve tried just about every diet — both the rational ones and the totally irrational ones — at some point in my life. I can hardly think of a single female I’ve met over the years that hasn’t “been there, done that!”
While I’ve never had a huge weight problem…I was a skinny kid but gained weight late in my 30’s, dropped it in my 40’s and gained it all back in my 50’s! Now that I’m at that fifty-something age I no longer care about having that “bikini body” but I do care about being healthy and living long.
So where do you turn to when trying to figure out how to lose the weight? Do you:
-
Count calories?
-
Banish carbs?
-
Go low fat?
-
Eat more protein?
-
Go vegetarian?
-
Follow the glycemix index?
-
Give up all sweets?
-
Take diet pills?
-
Fast?
-
Detox?
-
Do Weight watchers?
-
Go with the Zone?
-
Bask on the South Beach?
-
Copy what Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, etc. does?
-
Eat grapefruit all day, every day?
-
Skip meals?
-
Eat 6 meals a day?
-
Drink so much water you could float?
And then, as if that wasn’t enough to send you running to the fridge…there’s the whole concept of exercise to lose weight. Do you:
-
Walk slow
-
Walk fast
-
Workout with weights
-
Learn pilates
-
Try Yoga
-
Run for miles
-
Dance your way thin
-
Box and jab you pounds off
-
Do 100’s of crunches
-
Bounce your way through Aerobics
Well, I guess you get the picture. How do you know what works? There’s nearly enough diets and exercises programs to match every single person trying to lose weight! But the one thing that stands out for me is that there isn’t one single thing that will help you lose weight…..unless it’s a plan that you can stick with for the long term. So you’ve got to find something that fits with your lifestyle. Something that suits your tastes. If you want to barf at the sight of a grapefruit then eating one five times a day to lose weight probably isn’t going to work for you.
If you’re a busy person it may be tough trying to fit in 5-6 small meals every day. Heck, you’re probably lucky to get three a day, right? If you’re feeding your family a tasty dinner every night you’re going to feel pretty deprived, resentful, HUNGRY!! if you’re trying to make a little salad last through dinner!
What it all boils down to, for me anyway, is that there are a lot of effective plans to lose weight. You just have to find something you can LIVE with. So read on…we’ll explore some top plans and methods for losing weight and I’m sure you can find something that will work for you! It’s never too late to get started.
